Pimp your bride

Ladies! Getting married? Eaten too many Easter eggs? Fear not, because help is at hand.

The City Rooms in Leicester is pulling out all the stops to get brides fit and healthy for their big day.

The wedding venue on Hotel Street has teamed up with local fitness experts Results Weight Loss and is encouraging future brides and their friends and family to sign up for personal training sessions.

Kiran Parmar, from The City Rooms, said: “The summer is a popular time for engagements and wedding celebrations and a time when we all want to look and feel our best.

“By joining forces with Results Weight Loss, brides to be can enjoy exercise with their bridesmaids, future mother in laws, friends and family using both enjoyable and effective methods.”

We wonder which hapless groom will see this as the perfect wedding gift for their loved one.

The daily telegraph

Good to see the boys at Heb keeping themselves busy while the property market is in the doldrums. Under the hammer at its April auction is a telecoms mast site.

The mast site, a first for Heb, is situated on the well established Southglade Business Park and is currently let to Vodafone, producing £4,000 per annum.

“This is an unusual lot,” says Matt Hilton, partner and auctioneer at Heb. “We are offering a site let to Vodafone currently producing £4,000 per annum with a rent review due in late March.

“This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-secured income stream.”

The auction also includes a pub and a nightclub. It’s never dull at Heb.

Knockabout fun

Fantastic. Nottingham events company Off Limits is taking It’s a Knockout to southern Asia, having sealed a deal with Kooh Sports worth over £100,000. Off Limits arranges and stages It’s a Knockout tournaments along the same format as the legendary Stuart Hall-fronted TV show – massive costumes, wacky games, inflatables and foam everywhere – you know the dance.

Fourteen games with bespoke equipment have been made for the Mumbai event and an Off Limits events manager will be in place for 45 days (!) to train staff up. It would take something pretty special to top India winning the cricket World Cup, but we reckon this can do it.

Let them eat cake

However, if your fiancée works for Incorporatewear, they might need The City Rooms. Incorporatewear, the corporatewear supplier owned by ex-Clothes Show presenter Jeff Banks, is celebrating its presence at the upcoming 'Workwear and Corporate Clothing show' by sending out a delivery of cup cakes.

Celebrity designer and co-founder of Incorporatewear, Banks said: “Of course, it’s always nice to give something away but there is a serious idea behind it. As a leading corporate clothing company, we want people to know that we’re cutting our cake a different way.”

Nice imagery, Jeff. Nice imagery.
