Eco team launched at Harrison Clarke
Worcester law firm Harrison Clarke has expanded with the creation of a renewable energy division. The team will advise on issues including regulation, planning and IP law in respect of renewable energy.
The team was set up following the introduction of the government’s environmental targets for 2020, including the ‘feed-in-tariff’ scheme.
Rachael Thornton, solicitor at Harrison Clark and part of the renewable energy team, said: “The renewable industry is growing fast, with the introduction of the ‘feed-in-tariff’ and the ‘renewable heat incentive’, as well as the ‘green deal’ set to come into play in autumn 2012.
“More and more individuals and businesses are becoming involved with renewable projects, not just the massive energy users. The new renewable energy team at Harrison Clark has links with lenders and specialist professional advisers to ensure that our clients receive advice from professionals who understand the sector.”
Harrison Clarke’s new team will advise on matters including regulation, planning, property, construction, corporate structure and financing, contracts and IP law.
