PBS UK to offer training service
Nottingham-based Payroll Bureau Services (PBS UK) has launched a human resources training operation. The course will offer advice on recruitment, redundancy counselling and employment law.
The company will also offer HR training for line managers. Companies from the legal, manufacturing, finance and IT sectors have already signed up to the one-day course, said PBS UK.
Managing director Pam Pindar said: “We were picking up a feeling of general nervousness from some clients who felt that their knowledge base of new issues (most born of the recession) needed addressing.
“In particular, legislation updates regarding how to handle discipline and grievance and recruitment and selection were asked about frequently. Most recently the issue of absence management has been front of mind.”
