Clegg completes Notts Forest development
Nottingham-based Clegg Construction has finished work on the £1.2m redevelopment of Nottingham Forest’s training academy. A two-storey building has been constructed as part of the refurbishment.
The new building will house the first-team changing rooms, a players’ lounge, offices, a gymnasium and physiotherapy rooms.
In addition to the main building, Clegg was responsible for several external works on the site, including the construction of steps, retaining walls and creating a new access road.
Simon Blackburn, managing director of Clegg Construction, said: “As a result the academy meets high environmental standards whilst providing a comfortable environment for players. Over the past six months or so we have worked closely with the project managers, Nottingham-based Maber, to complete the facilities on time and on budget.”
“We are delighted to be involved in a project that will not only help Forest’s first-team players to get in the best possible shape to challenge for promotion to the Premier League, but also assist in the development of the club’s future stars.”
