Funding brings home the bacon for Molls Meats

Share | |

Molls Meats is to create nine new jobs after winning funding from NatWest Commercial Banking and Lombard. The Birmingham-based family meat supply and distribution company, which trades as Molls Bacon, has also purchased a freehold unit on the Formans Trading Estate in Sparkhill and a new bacon slicing machine.

Molls Meats is based on the Forman’s Trading Estate on Formans Road, Sparkhill and specialises in bacon slicing. It currently employs 50 people.

It hopes its expansion will double the square footage of the business and enable it to store more stock and buy in bulk.

Lucy Francis, managing director of Molls Meats, said: "Our company has thrived over the last 40 years because we are proud of our family traditions, we produce quality bacon, we have a dedicated team and most importantly we are committed to our customers.

"This commitment to our meat and our customers has ensured we continue to grow our client base be them supermarkets, public houses, wholesalers or anybody in the food and catering sector."
