Deeley wins £1.7m Oxford work
Coventry-based Deeley Construction has won a £1.7m contract to refurbish an apartment building in Oxford. The business, which is part of the Deeley Group, is working on Castle Mill House for Lucy Properties.
It will involve the building being renovated, updated and extended over six months. It includes the refurbishment of 23 existing flats and the creation of four new apartments in the building, designed by The Original Field Of Architecture.
Decorative balconies will also be added to the building as well as penthouse pavilions on the rooftop.
Jordan Ryan, of Deeley Construction, said: "We are pleased to have landed this contract. We are a Coventry firm – with our roots here in the city – but we work right across the UK.
"The Deeley Group has a very good reputation in Oxfordshire – we’ve played a significant role at the scientific business park at Harwell and worked previously for Lucy Properties.
"There is no denying that conditions have been tough for companies in property and construction in the past two to three years but we have continued to land new work, which is testament to our commitment to deliver project on time and on budget.
"This is a very significant project for Oxford and we are delighted to be involved with it."
