Chesterfield industrial park on sale for £5m
Holmewood Industrial Park in Chesterfield has been put on the market with an asking price of £5m. The property, which comprises a two-level factory and office block, is described as one of the largest cold storage facilities in the country.
The 287,000 sq ft purpose-built cold store is split over two levels. The stores are both racked to provide approximately 36,000 pallet spaces and can be frozen to -25 degrees celcius.
A two-storey office building, which has more than 8,000 sq ft of space, is also included.
Asset valuation and recovery specialist Landwood Group, based in Manchester, has appointed David Binks at Cushman and Wakefield as joint agents for the property.
Landwood Group director Richard Parkinson said: “The sheer scale of the depot makes it a more unusual brief — cold stores of this size and of such recent vintage don’t come onto the market very often. It is a purpose-built facility and it is just off the M1, so in terms of functionality and location it ticks all the boxes. We believe it will generate real interest.”
