Santander banks on Black Country move

Santander has opened a corporate banking centre in Wolverhampton. The bank said the move forms part of its plan to work more with manufacturing businesses.

The centre opened in temporary premises in Wolverhampton Science Park this month, ahead of a move to larger premises later in the year.

The bank provides service to corporate and commercial customers with a turnover above £1m.

Keith Webb, regional director for the West Midlands, will lead the site’s team of five. He will work alongside relationship directors Christine Banks, Chris Hyde and Andy Long, and relationship manager Diane Snee-Spink.

Webb said: “This new centre demonstrates Santander’s commitment to the Black Country. The region has a high proportion of successful small and medium sized businesses and we are delighted that we will be able to provide extra dedicated support in Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.”
