NatWest funds Village Motor Repairs deal
A husband and wife team have taken over Village Motor Repairs in Ruddington after securing a funding package from NatWest. The finance package has helped Julian and Helen Baston purchase the lease on the premises in Parkyns Street.
The business has traded in the village for more than 30 years. Julian Baston said he believed the location would bring him a “real competitive advantage”.
He said: “I am really pleased to be back and trading again in Nottinghamshire. I know this area very well and the location in Ruddington is a great place to trade from. It is well placed to attract business not only from the city, but also from the surrounding villages. I am also looking forward to meeting up and working again with some of my old customers.”
NatWest has provided funding through the government’s enterprise finance guarantee scheme to help purchase the trading business.
Andrew Atkinson, manager of business banking at NatWest, said: “Julian knows both the market and the locality fantastically well. Having previously built up and sold successful repair businesses he is well placed to make this new venture a success.”
