Encompass set for growth after award win
Ilkeston-based Encompass Print Solutions is set to grow over the next three years, according to owner and East Midlands Business Woman of the Year, Lian Britchford. Talking to Insider, Britchford said a 6,000 sq ft expansion to its current factory will bring at least five new jobs with more people being taken on as the company continues to win new clients.
Britchford was named East Midlands Business Woman of the Year at the Women of Worth Awards held last week at the East Midlands Conference Centre. She said: “We only bought our premises last October, but we applied for planning permission for an extra 6,000 sq ft when we moved in. Once built, that will mean an extra five new jobs, with the organic growth of the company meaning more being created.”
Encompass Print Solutions was set up in 2006 in a small rented office with two chairs and two desks. It now employs 19 staff in premises of over 26,000 sq ft.
Encompass boasts a client list which includes HMV, La Senza, Waterstones and Whittards.
Speaking about her business, Britchford said: “Encompass’s success is down to a team effort from all the staff. I believe that our success is down to having a good business foundation and strong values, and recognising and praising the staff that make the success happen. We work hard on staff retention, from training and motivating, to ensuring that staff develop personally and have responsibility for areas that they can control and improve.”
