Cell Drinks to launch with Templeman
Leicester-based drinks company Cell Drinks is set to launch after appointing the director general of the Institute of Directors (IoD) as chairman.
Miles Templeman, who is also the former managing director of Whitbread Beer and chief executive of Bulmers, takes on the role.
Cell Drinks produce alcoholic beverages which are sold in pouches and can be purchased from vending machines.
The business was helped prior to launch by advisory service Connect Midlands, which coached managing director Luke Pulford on raising equity investment ahead of a major injection of funding last year.
Paul Jenkinson, regional manager of Connect Midlands said: “Cell Drinks is being launched into a very competitive market with lots of brands that are well established and have large marketing budgets to promote them.
“It offers something very new and exciting to the market but it is a new brand, so having an innovative, targeted marketing campaign is the key to communicating its benefits.”
