Wingland Food begins expansion project
Wingland Foods, based in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire, is expanding with an extension to its food production facility.
Chalcroft Construction, based in Pershore, will work on the project which includes the creation of a high-care facility with insulated white walls, kerbs and resin floor.
The company will also make alterations to the blast freezer, upgrades to existing plant and the installation of an innovative air-handling system.
Jonathan Fowler, from Wingland Foods, said: “We’ve been pleased with the attention to detail, flexibility and partnership ethos demonstrated by the Chalcroft team on the project here at Wingland Foods.
“This project has been a case study in planning and logistics to ensure that there have been no interruptions to production and to make sure that when the extension opens, it fits seamlessly into use.”
Work is scheduled to be completed in early May.
