Work starts on Cube hotel scheme
Work is underway at Sanguine Hospitality’s £12m development in Birmingham. Builders from Denizen Construction have begun work on site at the multimillion-pound hotel, Marco Pierre White restaurant and health spa at The Cube scheme.
The Wigan-based contractors have started work on the fit-out which includes the four-star Hotel Indigo, Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill and spa.
The 26-week build programme sees work start on the 14,197 sq ft skyline restaurant, situated on the 25th floor. The development of the 52 bedroom hotel on levels 23 and 24 will also be completed through the contract.
Neil Edginton, director at The Cube, said: “This week marks a key milestone in The Cube’s development as work gets underway on Sanguine’s much anticipated boutique hotel, spa and restaurant.
"All three elements will bring a huge boost to the city, both for its residents and for tourists visiting the Midlands and we’re really looking forward to watching it take shape right here in the heart of Birmingham.”
