DLA Piper advises £450m acquisition

The Birmingham office of law firm DLA Piper has advised Intertek Group on its £450m acquisition of Moody International.

Intertek is funding the acquisition entirely in cash from new and available debt facilities.

The DLA Piper team advising Intertek was led by Birmingham-based corporate partners Noel Haywood, John Campion and Charles Cook, together with solicitors Nigel Cooke and Mike Jackson.

The deal is conditional upon competition clearances in certain countries, which is expected to be obtained in April, with the transaction to be completed immediately after.

Rothschild is acting as financial adviser to Intertek.
