New West Mids agent at Bank of England
The Bank of England has appointed a new deputy agent for the West Midlands. Glynn Jones takes on the position having worked for Advantage West Midlands (AWM).
Jones was the former head of economics and strategy at AWM, which will be closed next year. He begins work in his new post tomorrow (9 March).
Graeme Chaplin, the Bank of England’s regional agent for the West Midlands, said: “I am delighted to welcome Glynn to the Bank’s West Midlands Agency. The good relationship the agency has built up with the local business community is vital to its success in gathering information for the Monetary Policy Committee and explaining the Bank’s economic outlook.
"Glynn’s in-depth knowledge of the regional economy will be a major asset in that ongoing engagement with local businesses.”
