RH Freight in Swiss takeover
RH Freight, headquartered in Nottingham, has been acquired by Switzerland-based air freight giant Kuehne + Nagel. The Swiss company said the purchase was in line with its growth strategy and would allow it to expand its European network.
The sum of the acquisition was not disclosed.
RH Freight specialises in groupage freight between continental Europe and the UK. The company employs 630 staff across 17 locations in the United Kingdom and at two sites in Finland. In addition to its core activities, RH Freight also participates in sea and air freight.
Ian Baxter, managing director of the RH Group, said: “Over the last few years, we have considerably expanded our service offering and gained competitive advantage due to our strong European operations.

The transaction is subject to the approval of relevant anti-trust authorities.
