G Casino in sales boost
The G Casino venue in Coventry has revealed revenue growth of 27 per cent year-on-year. The casino relocated to the city’s Ricoh Arena 18 months ago.
G Casino’s sales boost follows reports from its operating company Rank Group, which said sales at its Grosvenor Casinos – which includes the G Casinos – have increased by 8.5 per cent.
The G Casino at the Ricoh Arena officially opened in October 2009 and employs 119 people.
Daniel Gidney, chief executive of the Ricoh Arena, described the entertainment venue as an integral part of the multi-purpose venue.
He said: “They have integrated themselves into the community with the G Casino 'Kick 4 Cash' competition on Coventry City matchdays and their networking events for businesses to encourage a cross-section of the community to come along to the G Casino.
“To have finished the calendar year of 2010 with such encouraging figures in these tough financial times is a testament to the enterprising work of Paul Davies and his team.”
