St Modwen on park lookout as Fenton site fills up
Fenton Trade Park in Stoke-on-Trent is now 90 per cent occupied, said its owner St Modwen. The 60,000 sq ft site has two units remaining.
The development comprises 22 industrial and warehouse units ranging from 2,300 to 7,200 sq ft.
Having been largely completed by the end of 2008 with five properties under offer, a further 15 properties have been snapped up within the past year.
Among the occupiers on the park are Oriental Carpets, which has purchased five units; GMT Logistics, Diamond International and Autobrite, all of which have relocated from within the local area.
Andrew Cox, development surveyor for Birmingham-based St Modwen, said: “The past 12 months have seen a surge of interest in Fenton Trade Park resulting in 90 per cent occupation. We believe this is due to our innovative approach to marketing the Park, taking into consideration current economic conditions.
“With all of our industrial space now occupied, we are exploring opportunities for further industrial and trade park developments in the region to meet market demand as the year progresses.”
