Talis bought by Capita
Talis Information, based in Birmingham, has been acquired by outsourcing giant Capita Group for £18.5m. A further £2.5m could also be payable depending on Talis’ profit performance.
Talis provides computer software solutions at its Birmingham base, which employs 42 people.
London-based Capita said the acquisition would add “valuable new expertise and capabilities” to Capita's existing products for the academic and public sector.
For the year ended 31 March 2010, Talis made an made an operating profit of £3.5m on turnover of £7m.
Paul Pindar, chief executive of Capita, said: “The acquisition of Talis Information will enable Capita to offer a wider set of services to the further and higher education markets and to local authorities, where we have a strong client base.”
