Green agenda main concern, says Wright Hassall
The first meeting of a national property association in Warwickshire has highlighted the growing need for wider understanding of green initiatives. That’s the view of Coventry law firm Wright Hassall, which hosted the Association of Women in Property event.
The association met for the first time in the county as members discussed sustainable project development.
Wright Hassall is now finalising plans to stage a ‘green forum’ where environmental issues within the property industry can be discussed, after finding questions regarding the ‘green agenda’ to be the standout theme.
Claire-Elaine Arthurs, of the firm’s property dispute resolution team, said: “This was the first time the National Association of Women in Property hosted an event of this type of in Warwickshire and it was a huge success. It is important that the wealth of experienced property professionals we have in Warwickshire is recognised at a national level.
“I think the passion with which the practicalities of putting more environmentally friendly measures in place was discussed and debated at the event really drove home the point that this change is coming and it is something that everybody within the industry needs to know about.”
