Businesses sought for investment opportunity
High growth businesses in the region seeking investment have until 2 March to register their interest in pitching at this year’s Connect Midlands Springboard event. The event, to be held in Loughborough, will allow companies from across the Midlands to bid for up to £500,000 in funding.
A maximum of 15 pre-screened companies will get the opportunity to pitch for funding at the event on 14 April, which will be held at Holywell Park in Loughborough.
Businesses will have the opportunity to pitch to an audience of investors and to discuss their company over a networking lunch.
Presentations last eight minutes, with anonymous information about the investment opportunity marketed to the carefully selected and approved audience leading up to the event. There is also an opportunity to exhibit at the event itself.
John Griffiths, director of Connect Midlands, which is a public-private partnership backed by East Midlands Development Agency, the ERDF and private sector sponsors said: “As part of Understanding Finance for Business, our Springboard event showcases the best early stage investment propositions in the Midlands to an audience of investors and investment professionals.”
To date, Connect Midlands has helped businesses in the region to raise more than £200m as a result of involvement with the Connect Midlands network and pitching at showcasing events such as Springboard.
