Vets pounce on management buyout
Two Bakewell vets have purchased the clinic where they work after securing funding from HSBC. Willem Schaper and Giles Bramwell completed the buyout having worked at the Bakewell Veterinary Clinic for six and four years respectively.
The buyout secures the future of the business, which has been open for more than 100 years.
The business operates across two sites in Bakewell including a specialist equine centre on Buxton Road.
Funding for the deal was supplied by HSBC’s commercial banking team in South Yorkshire.
Schaper, co director of Bakewell Veterinary Clinic, said: “Giles and I are delighted to hold ownership of Bakewell Vets, thanks to HSBC’s support.
"Our vision to provide high quality medical services to existing and potential customers has been cemented with this new banking relationship and we look forward to growing the business further with the support of HSBC.”
