Smith Cooper moves into Lace Market
Accountant Smith Cooper is relocating its Nottingham office to Lace Market Square. The team of 40 will move into a 5,900 sq ft unit in the £10m mixed-use scheme.
The Lace Market scheme was created by Bildurn Properties in response to Nottingham City Council’s request for a centre piece to the neighbouring conservation area.
As well as 46 apartments, Lace Market Square houses a glazed Pavilion providing 3,154 sq ft of grade A office space.
Chris Taylor, managing director at Smith Cooper in Nottingham, said: “Lace Market Square is perfect for us, in the heart of the city it is ideally located for both business and private clients, many of whom are already based in this area. The flexibility of the space and the great public transport links make it very attractive for our team.
“We really wanted a new build property which is very hard to come by in the city centre. Choosing somewhere a little different for a professional services firm epitomises our outlook as a firm that thinks outside the box.”
Bildurn was advised by Adam Youatt at law firm Berryman and Smith Cooper was advised by Peter Thornley at Fraser Brown.
Joint agents for Lace Market Square are Innes England and Nattrass Giles.
