Nottingham firm wins QualitySolicitors backing
Nottingham-based Yates & Co has been selected to trade as a QualitySolicitors law firm. The practice will take on the QualitySolicitors logo following changes to the legal market dubbed ‘Tesco law’.
QualitySolicitors, the UK’s first national legal law brand, plans to launch a firm in every major UK town and city. So far, almost 200 firms across the UK have been selected to represent the brand.
The firm, which has branches at St Peter’s Gate and Mansfield Road, will be known as QualitySolicitors Yates & Co.
The brand’s expansion comes ahead of legislative changes due to take place in the legal market. These changes, dubbed ‘Tesco law’, will allow banks and retail brands to provide legal services for the first time from October 2011.
QualitySolicitors’ chief executive Craig Holt said: “The legal market is going to totally transform over the next couple of years. We will ensure going to a QualitySolicitors’ branch for legal matters will be as familiar and easy as calling into a well known bank or opticians.”
