Staffordshire pavilion green lighted
Pochin Special Projects has won a £625,000 contract to build a new pavilion for the Thornley Drive Playing Fields in Staffordshire.
The contract, on behalf of the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, includes the construction of single-storey pavilion, consisting of changing room, shower, toilet and coaching facilities.
Pochin, based in Cheshire, will also resurface the existing car park as well as laying a new car park to provide an additional 60 spaces.
Antony Pochin, operations director for Pochin Special Projects, said: “The pavilion project is one of many bespoke contracts that special projects is currently carrying out in the region.
“The creation of the special projects arm allows Pochin to offer a more tailored service to its clients for smaller projects valued under £1m.”
Work has now started on the Cheadle site and the project is scheduled to take 27 weeks to complete.
