Birmingham Forward reveals new patrons
Manufacturing giant Jaguar, accountancy firm KPMG and recruitment specialist Blusource have become the latest patrons of Birmingham Forward.
They join existing patrons, Barclays Wealth, Birmingham City University, HBJ Gateley Wareing, Birmingham Metropolitan College and Sir Robert McAlpine.
Insider exclusively revealed last month that East Midlands-based Blusource was to become a parton of the organisation as it expanded into Birmingham.
Jaguar UK’s managing director, Geoff Cousins, said: “As a patron of Birmingham Forward, Jaguar will now have closer relationships with more than 2000 professionals at over 170 firms in the region. Birmingham and the West Midlands are fundamental to the success of Jaguar and we feel this partnership will reap great rewards for both parties.”
Karl Edge, partner at KPMG, said: “We are delighted to have become a patron of Birmingham Forward. We believe that now, more than ever, professional services firms have a key role to play in working together with the business community to build a solid foundation for future growth and Birmingham Forward is at the centre of that debate.”
Jackie Hendley, chair of Birmingham Forward said that the new recruits showed a “fantastic vote of confidence” in the organisation.
Birmingham Forward is an inclusive, independent, not-for-profit membership organisation, established in 1990 that welcomes firms, partnerships and individuals from the business and professional services sectors.
