Flogas snaps up Warrington business
Flogas, the Leicester-based liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) company, has acquired LPG specialist Metcalfe and Evans. Warrington-based Metcalfe and Evans will become “a valuable asset” to the commercial arm of Flogas, said managing director Henry Cubbon.
Flogas, which is headquartered in Syston, said the purchase will allow it to expand its product offering and service capabilities in the commercial off-mains market.
Henry Cubbon, managing director at Flogas, said: “We are delighted to welcome Metcalfe and Evans employees to our team here at Flogas, and are confident that their extensive expertise will prove a valuable asset to the commercial arm of our business.
Cubbon added that the company would “shortly be undertaking a recruitment drive” to grow the business.
Metcalfe and Evans will continue to operate under its existing name, and general manager Peter Whittle and all employees will remain with the business.
The sum of the acquisition was not disclosed.
