Bartlett takes on Hustle role
A Birmingham property expert is set to appear in an episode of the BBC drama Hustle. Alfred Bartlett was offered the role after his company was tasked with finding a suitable location to film scenes for the new series.
Bartlett, the managing director of Bartlett Property, will appear as an extra in a scene filmed in the Mailbox in Birmingham.
The property mogul’s company was tasked by the producers of the series, Kudos Film and Television, to find a suitable location for filming.
Bartlett Property negotiated a six-month temporary letting of a 76,205 sq ft modern production warehouse based in Stella House, Talbot Way in the city.
The site, which was marketed by property agent DTZ, was used to film scenes in Eddie’s Bar, the con artists’ main meeting haunt in the show.
Bartlett said: “It was interesting to be a part of the new series of Hustle and meet the cast but I think I’ll stick to the day job.
“We specialise in the acquisition, development, investment and disposal of premier roadside, retail and trade park property on a daily basis but this has to be one of the more unusual projects we have undertaken for a client.”
Jonathan Robinson, associate director at DTZ, added: “Stella House provided a quality premise that was used effectively as a base for Kudos offices. Its accessible location worked perfectly for them whilst filming across the West Midlands region and we were delighted to have been able to accommodate them.”
The property is now back on the market with DTZ.
