Loughborough's The Cube unveiled
Loughborough University’s £3.2m student accommodation project has been completed by Manchester-based Ocon Construction. The Cube, which comprises 105 en-suite units, was completed within nine months.
The building was constructed on a brownfield site which had formerly been occupied by a garage and petrol station.
Located within a mile of the Loughborough University campus, the four-storey student accommodation will be open for students to occupy in September.
The developer behind the scheme was Anaash Holdings, based in Hertfordshire.
Vijay Patel from Anaash Holdings said: “Our decision to call upon the experience of a student accommodation specialist has really paid off, as Ocon has delivered on both quality and timescales. Completing within budget is always essential and deadlines are business critical in this sector because students are waiting to move in.
"We’ve had great feedback on the scheme and are delighted to have played a key role in transforming a piece of waste ground into a quality, contemporary development.”
