Insider's January Deal of the Month named
As part of our year-round deals coverage, the highlight of which will be the two glittering Dealmakers Awards ceremonies, Insider is delighted to launch our first Deal of the Month. Midlands Business Insider editor Andy Coyne has selected the acquisition of shoe retailer Jones Bootmaker by Netherlands-headquartered Macintosh Retail.
Birmingham and Nottingham-based Clearwater Corporate Finance advised Macintosh Retail whilst Browne Jacobson in Nottingham provided legal advice to the buyer.
The Clearwater team that advised Macintosh Retail comprised Phil Burns, Gareth Iley and Richard Shaw. Corporate partner Richard Cox led for Browne Jacobson.
The purchase of Eastbourne-based Jones will add 93 stores and consumer sales of about £95m to the Maastricht-based retailer’s portfolio.
