Yorkshire Bank to finance £5m care home
Work is underway on a purpose-built £5m care home in Birmingham. The care home, which is set to create 160 jobs, is being financed by Yorkshire Bank’s Finanacial Solutions Centre (FSC).
Absolute Care Homes will construct the three-storey home which is due to open in March 2012.
Martin Pawar, of Absolute Care Homes, is also currently developing two more care homes in Streetly Road in Birmingham and College Road in Erdington.
Neil Reddington, business banking partner at Yorkshire Bank’s FSC in Temple Row, said: “This is a growing sector and Martin has a great deal of expertise in the industry.
“He previously had 18 care homes from Lincolnshire to Yorkshire employing 1,600 staff which he sold three years ago and he is now concentrating on building new care homes in the Midlands.
“I am sure with his background and entreprenurial spirit that the care homes will be a success.”
