Chamberlin takes on Jebron
Walsall-based engineering group Chamberlin has rescued door closer supplier Jebron from administration. Chamberlin said the acquisition of Wednesbury-based Jebron would be “a highly complementary addition” to its engineering subsidiary Exidor.
Chamberlin said the £162,000 acquisition included “certain assets and the intellectual property” of Jebron.
Jebron is an engineering business which designs and supplies door closers.
Chamberlin’s subsidiary business Exidor, which supplies emergency exit hardware, will integrate the business at its Cannock site.
Additional costs of up to £100,000 are expected to be incurred in the current year as integration begins, said Chamberlin.
Once integrated, the company said it expects the acquisition to add over £1m of profitable sales to Exidor.
Tim Hair, chief executive of Exidor, said: "We are pleased to have purchased these assets and the intellectual property of Jebron. They will enhance our engineering subsidiary, Exidor's product offering and, most importantly, they should add over £1m of profitable revenues to the subsidiary after integration is completed."
