Needham & James makes National Grid panel

Stratford-upon-Avon law firm Needham & James has been re-appointed to the National Grid UK Legal Panel following a three-month procurement process. The law firm, which is part of the Shakespeare Putsman network, has been recruited on a three-year basis.

Needham & James will specialise in property on the panel with a team led by Janet James, a partner in the firm’s commercial property division.

National Grid reduced the number of firms on its legal panel by 25 per cent, to 16 in 22011.

The new structure will take effect from 1 April this year.

Needham & James’ Janet James added: “The team are enormously proud of our long standing relationship with National Grid and we are delighted to have been re-appointed to the UK Panel for a further three year tenure and are very much looking forward to continuing our close working relationship.

"The hard work and commitment of the team throughout the rigorous procurement process was key to our success.”
