Lava flies Midlands flag at PR awards
A Lincolnshire PR company is the only Midlands-based organisation to be nominated as the Consultancy of the Year in the 2011 PR Fresh Awards. Lava PR is also up for two other gongs at the event.
Alongside the Consultancy of the Year nomination, Lava has also been recognised in the Best Integrated Campaign and Best Public Sector Campaign for its work in supporting two Lincolnshire arts festivals.
Lava employs seven people at its two offices in Lincoln and Nottingham.
Managing director Matt Hammerton said: “We’re absolutely chuffed to bits with this nomination. We’ve always considered ourselves to be one of the most dynamic PR consultancies in the UK and it’s fantastic to feature in the Fresh Awards shortlists for the second year running.
“The Fresh Awards recognise and celebrate the best work being undertaken by the profession in the UK and as such, are fiercely competitive. This year there were many entries from bigger, longer-established London based agencies, so for us to receive these nominations is incredibly pleasing and we’re really proud of our achievement.”
The winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at the Deansgate Hilton Hotel in Manchester on 3 March 2011.
