The Prince's Trust agrees Custard Factory lease
The Prince's Trust is to move into the Zellig building in Birmingham’s Custard Factory. The charity will take up space in the recently refurbished site at an undisclosed rent.
With an office already set up within the Custard Factory, the Prince's Trust will branch out into the new Zellig building for the first time.
The building, which was officially opened by culture minister Ed Vaizey in October, provides working space for 101 independent creative enterprises.
The £10m restoration of the building, which took place last year, was part funded by regional development agency Advantage West Midlands.
Prince’s Trust regional director for the West Midlands, Kathy Williams, said: “This move is an exciting time for The Prince’s Trust. Last year we helped more than 4,000 disadvantaged young people in the West Midlands, giving them the skills and confidence to find a job.
"This move will give The Prince’s Trust a higher profile within the West Midlands which will help us to help more disadvantaged young people in the years to come.”
