Absolute wins solar contract
Absolute Solar, a domestic solar power systems business based in Leicester, has secured a contract to install solar panels on 36 environmental homes in Ratby, Leicester.
The Fielding Lane site, which was designed by Tangent Architects of Melton Mowbray, is being built by Cawrey.
The affordable homes are scheduled to start coming to market in May 2011. Phase 1 of the development is to be completed over the next two years.
“The inclusion of domestic solar power systems coupled to these energy efficient homes will make these houses highly cost effective to run, reducing the living costs, which at a time of high prices and increases on gas and electricity will make a huge difference to owners of these homes,” said Dean Bliss, director of Absolute Solar.
