JLR showroom unveiled
Sturgess Motor Group has completed the refurbishment to its flagship Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR) showroom in Leicester. The transformation of the site coincides with a 25 per cent increase in vehicle sales which the company attributes to the cold weather.
Sturgess said that vehicle sales rose four-fold compared with the same period in 2009, which it said was “a direct consequence of the severe winter weather”.
The refurbishment includes new fittings, furnisdhings and tiling to the entire showroom.
Architectural and project management aspects of the project were overseen by Wigston-based practice The Martin Design Partnership.
Its revamp makes the Narborough Road site one of the first dealerships in the UK to offer the new ‘Tri-Brand’ corporate identity of Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover as Range Rover becomes a slightly separate entity.
Sturgess Motor Group’s chairman Chris Sturgess said: “We’re delighted with the new showroom and are sure existing and prospective customers will be equally impressed.
“We’re also pleased to report that despite some disruption during the refurbishment work, business levels have remained good.”
