Simply Eat goes to market
Simply Eat has announced plans to open up a franchise offer. The sandwich bar chain currently has outlets in Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Halesowen and Derby.
The chain is two-years-old and its owners believe it will represent an "ideal franchise model for investors and budding food entrepreneurs".
Pravin Patel, director of Simply Eat, said: "The recession has shown that food sales remain high – even when cash is tight for consumers.
"The format developed by our management team is proving to be extremely successful and we envisage that potential franchisees will be impressed by the support structure we have prepared for them and the excellent trading figures of our existing stores.
"We found that there was a gap in the market for a genuine quick serve restaurant chain that offered traditional classics, such as paninis and baguettes in a ‘big brand fast food’ format."
Patel is now planning to build a stronger management team ahead of the franchising, with the appointment of a new director expected imminently.
