Grant Thornton expands East Mids operation
Accountant and business adviser Grant Thornton has announced plans to introduce a corporate recovery operation at its Leicester office. The service will be led by recovery and reorganisation director Jeremy Birch.
The corporate recovery operation will be available across the East Midlands, including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
Birch said: “In terms of the number and variety of businesses here, the footprint is very large. Indeed, we have been working with a number of corporates in the East Midlands over the last two years so it seemed entirely right that we should increase our presence in the region.
“We are looking forward to marketing our recovery services here on the ground and helping the region’s businesses. We will offer advice to businesses in challenging economic times, including on refinancing, accelerated M&A, strategic reviews, and operational and financial turnaround.”
Birch, who joined the form in 2008, said that the team’s first priority would be “to help good businesses, perhaps going through a period of temporary difficulty, to effect the change necessary to drive future growth”.
The arrival of corporate recovery is the latest service to be added to Grant Thornton’s corporate advisory team, which already offers advisory and transaction services.
