Medical centre grows with RBS deal
The Somercotes Medical Centre in Nottingham has expanded with a finance package from the Royal Bank of Scotland. The centre has unveiled an extension and car park after purchasing nearby land.
Partners of the centre on Nottingham Road, Somercotes purchased the property next to the centre and obtained a financial package from RBS. The undisclosed facility allowed them to purchase the land and fund their development plans.
The medical centre, which employs 24 people, now includes a 30-space car park and extended surgery. The additional rooms have enabled the surgery to become a teaching practise, whereby registrars will be trained as general practitioners.
David Mee, RBS’s healthcare manager, said: “The work at Somercotes Medical Centre is very impressive and will deliver exactly what the partners want for their patients. I’m delighted RBS have been able to support with a bespoke finance package and I look forward to continuing to work with the partners as they continue to develop their business.”
