Catalyst hires England
Catalyst Corporate Finance has appointed a new dealmaker to its Birmingham team. James England joins the corporate financier from PwC in Birmingham.
The firm said that the appointment was one of several across the country and comes after a “record year” of deal making in 2010. Last year, the Birmingham office of Catalyst advised on the sale of Vision Security Group, the MBO of Synseal and a growth financing deal with CitySprint.
England, a chartered accountant, will work on deal execution and business development with the existing Birmingham team, lead by partners Andy Currie, Richard Sanders and Jamie Hope.
Andy Currie, managing partner at Catalyst, said: “We had a record year in 2010 due to our continued focus on advising owners and managers operating in the mid-market. We have already made a significant investment in our team recently by recruiting an additional five deal makers before these hires. I am delighted to welcome James to the firm, since we enter 2011 with an incredibly strong pipeline of work.”
