Zoggs nets Wednesbury warehouse

Swimwear giant Zoggs International has acquired a Black Country warehouse on a ten-year lease. The unit, which comprise more than 21,000 sq ft of space, will operate as the company’s regional headquarters.

The deal was secured by the Birmingham office of property agent DTZ.

The lease agreed on the 21,259 sq ft industrial warehouse at the Woods Bank Estate in Wednesbury will bring in a rent of £106,000 per year.

DTZ’s building consultancy team in Birmingham were also involved in Zoggs’ move and were responsible for monitoring the landlord’s refurbishment works at the unit.

Zoggs, which was founded in Australia in 1992, is headquartered in Surrey and the acquisition at Woods Bank Estate is part of the business’ UK expansion plans.

A number of units at the Woods Bank Estate, which is owned by Kingswinford-based London and Cambridge Properties (LCP), recently underwent a £800,000 refurbishment programme.
