Avingtrans signs €2.2m deal
A subsidiary business of Avingtrans, the Nottingham-based aerospace components manufacturer, has won a three-year agreement with a European medical manufacturer. Jena Tec, the company’s industrial products division, has signed the deal which is thought to be worth €2.2m over three years.
The recipient of the deal was not disclosed.
Under the agreement, Jena Tec will supply high precision miniature ballscrews for use within a range of equipment by the customer.
The contract will begin in the fourth quarter of 2011 before full production volumes are added in 2012.
Steve McQuillan, chief executive of Avingtrans, said: "This is another example of Jena Tec's transformation to a full service industrial partner to our major customers and it clearly demonstrates the long-term commitment to world-class quality and delivery."
