Four more for Evans

Share | |

Derbyshire-based pre-cast concrete specialist Evans Concrete has take on four members of staff as part of a recruitment drive.

Rob Wilkinson has joined the team as planning manager and Richard Spence as project designer. Thomas Harrison is the company’s new CAD operator and Chris McBride has joined the estimating team.

Wilkinson was previously the project and planning manager at Qatar Pre-cast in the Middle East. He will be responsible for planning all of the company’s production activities.

He said: “Evans Concrete is large enough to work on some prestigious projects such as the Olympics yet maintains the personal touch of a family run business. The relaxed, but professional atmosphere makes it a great place to work.”

Project designer Richard Spence came from Trent Concrete and will be responsible for processing work from the initial design stage through the drawing office to completing and issuing details into the factory for production.

He said: “Evans have made me very welcome. In some respects it feels more like joining a family than a company and I hope that my knowledge and experience contribute to the further success of the company.”

Thomas Harrison, who also came from Trent Concrete, is a CAD operator who will be producing all of the technical drawings for projects.

Chris McBride has joined the company as an estimator and will be working with the sales team to secure new work and develop relationships with existing clients. “I am really pleased to be joining such a successful, ambitious local business that works on such prestigious projects. In these difficult economic times it is good to see a local business still going strong,” he said.
