Evans wins Dunelm HQ job
Evans Concrete has been awarded the £500,000 contract to provide concrete cladding to the new Dunelm headquarters at Watermead Park in Leicestershire.
The multimillion-pound development that was designed by Nottingham based CPMG Architects is to move the homeware company’s headquarters from Syston.
Derbyshire-based Evans Concrete, which has been awarded the contract by developer Bowmer and Kirkland, will be designing, supplying and erecting over 110 concrete panels, each weighing up to 13 tonnes.
Chris Foster, managing director of Evans Concrete, said: “It’s great to be working with Bowmer & Kirkland on this project which will create superb premises for the client. The panels we will be creating a fantastic facade to Dunelm’s new headquarters.”
Evans will begin working on the project early 2011.
The new premises will house offices, meeting rooms, a mock shop, testing laboratory, a café, first-aid room and shower rooms as well as plant and equipment areas, a delivery area and 230 parking spaces.
