Galliford Try wins £9m Birmingham deal
Construction group Galliford Try has been appointed as the preferred bidder on the Birmingham Public Land Initiative South, a £9m project for Birmingham City Council which will involve building 79 homes.
The Uxbridge-based group was appointed through the Homes and Communities Agency’s central Delivery Partner Panel Cluster.
All houses will be built to level four of the Code for Sustainable Homes and work on site will start in March 2011 with completion expected in May 2012, the company said.
The project is one of three recently secured by the company.
Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: "Securing these three projects across the three Delivery Partner Panel regions demonstrates the value of our position on the Homes and Communities Agency's Delivery Partner Panel and re-enforces our leading market position in affordable homes and regeneration."
