Businesses could PROgress with monthly seminars
The Midlands’ business community is being invited to a monthly business programme, established by the former head of development at Aston University. The PROgress Business Club meetings will include presentations from one of Channel 4’s 'Secret Millionaires' and former Guardian columnist Guy Browning.
The organisation is to meet once a month throughout 2011, with a series of expert speakers leading workshops.
PROgress Business Club was established by Carole Manship - the former head of management development at Aston University who now runs her own successful business consultancy. The group is to meet for the first time on Tuesday 18 January.
March’s session, entitled Thinking Creatively, will be led by former Guardian columnist Guy Browning. In April, guests will see Mo Chaudry, one of Channel 4’s 'Secret Millionaires', explaining how he became a successful entrepreneur.
Manship said: “I have spent more than a decade helping company owners, directors and senior managers achieve their career development goals and I’ve been able to identify some of the key traits in the most successful employees.
“This experience has gone into developing the PROgress Business Club programme and each session will work on a key area. Over the course of the year, participants will have time to develop their skills and learn how to fulfill their potential.
“However, it is not a prescriptive course. Workshops are interactive and there will be opportunities at each one to discuss any individual needs that attendees flag up.”
