Model booking at Friar Gate Studios
Derby’s Friar Gate Studios has agreed a letting on a virtual office unit with The Model Agency. The site, located on Ford Street in Derby, comprises 40 offices for businesses in the arts, design, media and other creative industries.
The Model Agency, which was established in 2003 by former model Ruth Anderson has ongoing contracts with Marks & Spencer, swimwear giant Speedo and hairdressing brand Nicky Clarke.
Ruth Anderson, founder of The Model Agency, said: “I am delighted to be able to join the virtual office community at Friar Gate Studios. The centre’s virtual office package has enabled us to benefit from a prestigious address and access to facilities, such as a high-tech meeting room and broadband connection - without any costly overheads.
“This move will allow the company to establish a more central presence in Derby, with a view to taking office space within Friar Gate Studios in the future.”
Friar Gate Studios opened in Spring 2007 in response to the continued growth of the creative industries in the city and surrounding areas. The studios comprise of 40 offices, ranging in size from 275 sq ft to 1,190 sq ft.
