Browne Jacobson and LABA agree support network deal
The Leicestershire Asian Business Association (LABA) has agreed a joint venture with law firm Browne Jacobson to support the growth of Asian businesses in the East Midlands. The partnership will allow the two to develop networking and overseas trade opportunities between the region’s Asian businesses.
Browne Jacobson, which has its East Midlands base in Nottingham, also has offices in Birmingham and London.
Under the new agreement, LABA and its members will be able to access legal and practical business advice from the commercial law firm.
Jaspal Singh Minhas, president of LABA, said: “With Browne Jacobson on board as a legal services partner we hope to create a platform to build a long term strategic alliance for enhancing bilateral commercial opportunities between the business community in Leicestershire and organisations as far afield as India, Middle East and Africa who are keen to enhance further trading and investment links with the region.”
Iain Blatherwick, managing partner at Browne Jacobson, said: “Businesses in the region, especially those reliant on consumer spending, are bracing themselves for a tough year so we are keen to do all we can in supporting and facilitating enterprise, business growth and international trade and investment opportunities for LABA and its members.”
