Real estate advisers Colliers International and GVA have been appointed as joint agents to Brindleyplace in Birmingham. The five-building development comprises office space, shops, bars and restaurants.

The pair were appointed to manage the scheme by owner Hines Global REIT and Moorfield, the real estate private equity investor and fund manager.

Brindleyplace is one of Birmingham’s biggest mixed-use developments. The estate comprises more than 957,000 sq ft of prime office space as well as shops, bars and restaurants.

Earlier this year Hines and Moorfield acquired eight buildings on the Brindleyplace estate for around £200m in one of the largest commercial property deals outside London.

The buildings, which include Three, Four, Five, Six and Nine, plus the multi-storey car park, Costa Coffee unit and the Crescent Theatre, were bought from the Brindleyplace Limited Partnership.

Colliers International advised Hines and Moorfield on the acquisition.

Craig Satchwell, director and head of office agency at Colliers International in Birmingham, said: “Having worked closely with Hines and Moorfield on the acquisition of the Brindleyplace estate we’re looking forward to developing the relationship further as joint office agents on the scheme.

“Brindleyplace is one of Birmingham’s most prestigious mixed-use developments, offering some of the best office accommodation in the city, coupled with an unrivalled location.”
